Set Up Workflow Reminders

Configure states in a workflow to send out reminder notifications to approvers when a workflow transition is pending. You set up reminders through the Workflow Editor State Properties flyout.

You can set up a reminder to occur every 1 to 30 days, including or excluding weekend days. Each reminder can repeat up to 9 times. For example, a reminder can be sent out every 2 days including weekends, repeated 5 times.

To set up a reminder:

  1. On the Workflow Editor mapping grid, double-click the state to open the State Properties flyout.

  2. In the flyout's General tab, click the Reminder Notifications checkbox.

  3. In the Every drop-down list, select how often you want the reminder sent out in days. You can select anywhere from 1 to 30 days.

  4. To include weekend days, click the Include Weekends checkbox.

  5. In the Repeat drop-down list, select the number of times you want the reminder sent out. You can select anywhere from 1 to 9 times. Setup workflow reminders

  6. Click anywhere outside the flyout to close it.

  7. Set up reminders for other states as needed.

  8. Click the Save icon on the Tool Bar.
