Custom attributes can be added to issue types or to subtypes for issue entries beyond the default attributes. Custom attributes appear at the bottom of an issue.
Before you create, assign or edit custom attributes, navigate to the following area:
Click the Custom Attributes tab.
Click Create new attribute.
Enter a Title. The title appears in an issue as a field label.
Click the Type drop-down menu and make a selection.
You can also:
Click Create.
For attributes to appear in issues, they need to be assigned to the issue types or subtypes in the Project Admin module. If an attribute is assigned to an issue type, all of the subtypes inherit the attribute as well. Attributes can be set to Required when they are assigned, forcing an entry before an issue can be created.
Click the Types tab.
Select an Issue Type or expand the type to select a subtype. Tip: You can apply an attribute to all issues by selecting All issue types.
Click Add attribute.
Click the checkboxes next to the attributes you want to add to the issue type or subtype selected.
Click Add. Tip: You can also click the slider to require the attribute to be populated when working with the issue type or subtype.
Click Save.
You can edit the title and description of any custom attribute. Type can't be changed.
