When you create a detail callout from a section, plan, or elevation view, you can link the view to a particular area of the building model.
When creating a detail callout, select the Reference Other View option to reference any detail or drafting view listed in the Project Browser.
The Reference Other View option displays on the Reference panel when you activate the section or callout view creation tool. Before defining the callout or section, select this option and select the view to reference. For a long list of view names, it can be helpful to enter keywords in the Search field to quickly locate the reference view name.
The View Name property on the Properties palette shows the name of the view, or if the detail is referencing another view, the name of the referenced view.
