Split a Schedule Across Multiple Sheets

When a schedule is too long, you can split the schedule into segments and place them across multiple sheets.

Video: Split a Schedule Across Sheets

A schedule split across sheets will split the schedule into a number of segments, one for each sheet selected.
Note: When a schedule or keynote legend is filtered by sheet, the Split & Place tool will not be available.

The following procedure assumes that you have added sheets to your project.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Open the schedule view, and then click Modify Schedule/Quantities tabSplit panel (Split & Place).
    • Right-Click the schedule name in the project browser, and select Split & Place.
  2. Select the sheets where the schedule segments will be placed.

The Search bar at the top of the dialog allows you to search for sheets.

  3. Select the height for schedule segments on each sheet.
    • Split Evenly - Total height of the schedule will be split evenly across the number of selected sheets.
    • Custom - You specify a height for each schedule segment. Each schedule segment will be the defined height. The last segment may be a different size than the specified height.
  4. Click Split & Place.
  5. The first selected sheet is opened, click to place the schedule segment.

The remaining schedule segments will be placed in the same position on the other selected sheets. The position is defined by the distance between the upper left corner of the title block and the upper left corner of the schedule segment.

  6. Note: Once schedule segments are placed, you can move a segment on a sheet without affecting the placement of segments on other sheets.
